SYS-FIT - What all did I receive in my order and how do I use them?

With any SYS-FIT order, you should receive the SYS-FIT Rack you ordered, the SYS-PLT Mount you ordered and all the required M4 mounting hardware. To begin assembly you will need the following:

  1. SYS-FIT Rack
  2. SYS-PLT Mount
  3. Supplied M4 hardware
  4. 2.5 mm Hex Driver or Allen Wrench (not supplied)
  5. Cup of coffee or other adult beverage

INSTRUCTIONS

Once you have determined which SYS-FIT Rack you are going to use with your particular work system, for example you want to use your SYS-FIT ROS Rack with your MFT. 

  1. Select either the SYS-PLT - Maximus or SYS-PLT - Minimus mount that came in your order (Maximus mount will have 4 attachment points, Minimus mount will have 2 attachment points)
  2. Place the SYS-FIT Rack over the plate
  3. Align the SYS-FIT Rack mounting holes with the SYS-PLT attachment points
  4. Insert the provided M4 hardware thru the mounting holes of the SYS-FIT Rack
  5. Tighten the M4 hardware using a 2.5mm Hex Driver / Allen Wrench until tight
  6. Insert the SYS-PLT into its mating component of your work system

Systainer Specific Instructions

SYS-PLT - Systainer3 Mounts uses the left or right card holder on the front of a Systainer3 to provide a secure mounting location for your SYS-FIT Rack.  The 'ears' on the SYS-PLT should be oriented towards the top of the systainer (Figure 1). Once the 'ears' are seated in the card channel, slide the SYS-PLT down so the SYS-PLT rests securely at the bottom of the card holder (Figure 2).

MFT Specific Instructions

SYS-PLT - MFT Maximus Mounts uses both the upper and lower extrusion profile to secure your SYS-FIT Rack to the MFT (Figure 3)

SYS-PLT - MFT Minimus Mounts only use the lower extrusion profile to secure your SYS-FIT Rack to the MFT.  Depending on extrusion tolerances, it may require loosening the M4 hardware to get the mount into the extrusion profile.  This can be retightened after you have the rack into the location you would like it to rest (Figure 4)

Dash-Board PWS Specific Instructions

SYS-PLT - Dash-Board PWS Maximus Mounts uses both the upper and lower extrusion profile to secure your SYS-FIT Rack to the PWS

SYS-PLT - Dash-Board PWS Minimus Mounts uses either the upper or lower extrusion profile to secure your SYS-FIT Rack to the PWS.  Depending on extrusion tolerances, it may require loosening the M4 hardware to get the mount into the extrusion profile.  This can be retightened after you have the rack into the location you would like it to rest.

15-Series Specific Instructions

SYS-PLT - 15-Series Maximus Mounts uses both the upper and lower extrusion profile to secure your SYS-FIT Rack to the extrusion

SYS-PLT - 15-Series Minimus Mounts uses either the upper or lower extrusion profile to secure your SYS-FIT Rack to the extrusion.  Depending on extrusion tolerances, it may require loosening the M4 hardware to get the mount into the extrusion profile.  This can be retightened after you have the rack into the location you would like it to rest (Figure 5).

French Cleat Specific Instructions

SYS-PLT - French Cleat Mounts uses your existing french cleat wall as a mounting location.  Depending on the rack being used and the tool being held, the SYS-PLT may require use of the supplied #7 1 1/4" Coarse threaded screw to assure a robust connection (Figure 6).
