Verso + Max Sets: Built on Your Feedback

Verso + Max Sets: Built on Your Feedback

One of the things we’ve learned since starting FORG3D is that our community doesn’t hold back. You tell us what’s working, what’s not, and what you’d love to see next. That kind of feedback has shaped every release we’ve made — and it’s exactly what led us to develop Verso and the new Max Sets.

The Challenge: More Flexibility, More Scale

When we launched our first SYS-GRP pods, we heard a common theme from makers:

  • “I love the pods, but sometimes I just need more reach across the bench.”

  • “Scaling up is great, but I don’t always know which combination to buy.”

  • “Could you make bundles that match how we actually work?”

The message was clear: pods and rails were doing the job, but there was still room to make setups faster, simpler, and more scalable.

Verso: The All-Arounder

Enter Verso — designed as the all-arounder of the lineup.

Verso is about flexibility in any orientation. Whether you’re working horizontally across the bench or vertically along rails, Verso gives you the reach and adaptability to set up quickly and securely. It shines in rail-based layouts, letting you move seamlessly between edge work, panel support, and angled setups.

With this configuration, pods can be left at the ready along the rails, always staged for the next project, while leaving you with additional pods available for horizontal workholding on the bench. When the job’s done, you’ve got options: leave the pods in place to stay “shop-ready,” or slide them neatly back into the FORG3D Edition Systainer for transport and storage.

And like the Max Sets, Verso isn’t just pods. Each configuration comes with the ecosystem pieces that make it a complete system — Systainer storage for mobility, PodDock fitouts for organization, AnchorDogs for flexible locking, and rail inserts to tie everything together.

By combining horizontal and vertical versatility with the convenience of staged or stowed setups, Verso is the kit you reach for when you want one setup that can do it all — and be ready for the next job just as fast.

Max Sets: The Powerhouse

We also know that not everyone wants to build their system one piece at a time. That’s where the Max Sets come in.

Max is about scaling holding power, especially on horizontal surfaces where you need pods working in unison to keep large or heavy panels locked down. It’s the heavy-duty option for shops that push their benches to the limit.

But Max doesn’t stop there — the same pods and accessories can also be run vertically when the project demands it, giving you versatility without compromise.

And just like Verso, Max Sets go beyond pods. They include the system elements that make your bench truly complete — Systainer storage, PodDock fitouts, AnchorDogs, and rail inserts. The result is a bundle that amplifies your holding power while still fitting into the modular ecosystem.

Tied to the Launch Edition

The inspiration for both Verso and Max Sets actually came while we were developing the FORG3D Launch Edition.

As we were curating those limited-run bundles, it became clear that the same logic — pairing the right pieces together to show off the system’s full potential — could carry forward into everyday kits. If it worked for a milestone release, why shouldn’t it work for the way you build your bench day in and day out?

That’s exactly what Verso and Max Sets represent: a permanent extension of the thinking behind the Launch Edition.

Why It Matters

At first glance, Verso and Max Sets might look like simple add-ons. But for many makers, they’ll be the difference between a bench that’s “good enough” and a bench that truly adapts to every project.

  • Verso = all-arounder versatility in horizontal + vertical workholding.

  • Max = powerhouse horizontal holding, with vertical versatility when needed.

  • Together = less guesswork, more making.

It’s about listening to what you need, then building it into the system.

Part of the Launch Wave

Verso and Max Sets aren’t standalone — they’re part of the same FORG3D Launch Wave that introduced AnchorPod, Argos, and AnchorPlug. Together, this wave represents our biggest step forward yet: a full ecosystem of tools built to remove friction, add flexibility, and let you focus on the craft.
