Cardo 320 and 640 grew out of the first Cardo Square sketches. The dog holes on an MFT-style top only put a reference where the grid allows. The Cardo slot removes that limit: with the Slot Grip and Slot Glide, you position and rotate the bar anywhere across the top and lock a datum surface at any angle you need.

The same bar is a System 32 drilling guide. Add the blocks and the Corso Bore and it drills shelf-pin and drawer-slide holes at 37mm setback and 32mm spacing, with nothing to measure or dial in. For the mobile professional, that means one bar goes from reference surface to drilling guide on site without another case of kit. For the home shop, it is a way into System 32 without a dedicated jig that collects dust between cabinet builds. It works alongside Festool LR 32 where you already have it.

Cardo 320 Kit — The compact bar for stops, face frames and shorter panels. As a drilling guide it reaches holes through 261mm from the panel edge — drawer slides up to about 18" (457mm).

Cardo 640 Kit — The long bar for full-height cabinet sides and deeper drawer-slide layouts. As a drilling guide it reaches holes at 453mm and beyond — drawer slides from 21" to 27".

Key Features
  • A datum anywhere on the bench: The slot lets the Slot Grip and Slot Glide position and rotate the bar across an MFT-style top, so the reference face goes where the work needs it — at any angle — not only where the dog holes fall.
  • Two jobs, one bar: Reference surface for stops and panel registration, and a System 32 drilling guide. Switch between them without swapping tools.
  • System 32, built in: 32mm from the end of the bar to the first hole, 16mm from the side to the hole centerline. Both are System 32 numbers.
  • 37mm from fixed parts: Block 5 mounts at the end and adds 5mm — 32 + 5 = 37 for the horizontal setup. Block 21 mounts along the long face and adds 21mm — 16 + 21 = 37 for the vertical setup. Two Block 21s ship in the kit: one block on an edge is a pivot, two is a line.
  • Validated against European hardware: Every common Blum MOVENTO and Salice Progressa / Progressa+ mounting position falls on the 32mm grid starting at 37mm.
  • Drill with a Festool self-centering bit: The Corso Bore sits in a bar hole and takes the Festool 492525 self-centering bit for 5mm shelf-pin and euro-screw holes. The BorePin steps down from 8mm to 5mm, so it drops into the hole you just drilled and indexes the bar for the next one.
  • One slot, two references: Drop a Corso dog through a bar hole into the bench and position lands in 32mm steps held by the bench grid. Give it a quarter turn into the channel and it locks anywhere along the bar, held by the bar.
  • Holds itself down: Holes along the top face take FS Rail Manus and FS Rail Maximus pods, so the bar can clamp itself with vacuum hardware you may already own.
  • Stainless where it slides: The Slot Grip, Bore and BorePin are 303 stainless; the Grip will not mar the anodized slot it locks against.
  • Driver included: A Janus double-ended bench driver ships in the kit for the block screws.
Compatibility & Notes
  • Registers on any bench with 20mm dog holes on 96mm centers: SYS-SRF surfaces, Festool MFT and MFT-style tops.
  • Drilling uses the Festool 492525 self-centering bit (5mm), not included.
  • Works alongside Festool LR 32 on the same 32mm / 37mm grid. It does not bore hinge cups.
  • The bars do not fit a Systainer³ S 76. The kit accessories store in the SYS-FIT Cardo Bar Kit FORG3D Edition Fitout, sold separately.
  • Two bars join end to end with a Corso DogBone. Cardo Extensions (bar + DogBone) are available to Cardo kit owners.
  • Cardo is a woodworking reference: flat-milled aluminum, not a ground machinist tool.
